The mission of Northern Innovation and Startup Center is to increase the successful development of new tech startups among students, faculty, and aspiring entrepreneurs, to grow the population, and to diversify the economy in Northeast South Dakota. The Northern Innovation and Startup Center will build a tech startup culture that fosters innovation where entrepreneurs are supported, embraced, and applauded. Our goal is to make Aberdeen and the region a place where everyone has opportunities to impact growth.

By building a tech entrepreneurial ecosystem that fosters the creation of tech startups, the Aberdeen area has an opportunity to retain young residents, support their full employment, expand entrepreneurial vibrancy, and grow the economy in the region.
